Corner Detail

Shortly after the first table was built I began to realize it would be far better suited for a lathe, and that I did have the space to have a second table for the mill. The X2 mini-mill would fit nicely on a 38" x 24" table and I just had enough space.

The first table wasn't well documented so these photo's will show the basic process of putting a "2x4 Basics" bench together.  The legs are a very tough resin and are naturally black. I've always liked Hunter Green as a machine color, and so spray-painted them accordingly.

Ready for the machines

All ready for the lathe and mill. To the left of the bookcase is a former closet - with sliding doors removed.  With a full shelf as a bench-top,  this is my electronics soldering and small parts work area.
