Getting out of the Photo business

Previous to this change-of-venue, the apartment was geared towards fine-art photography. I had an Epson 3800 printer and spent a lot of time at the computer with Photoshop and Lightroom.

In recent times I became interested in the Arduino and working with hardware/software. Naturally this led to the need to make stuff - fixtures, mounts... you name it. At that time it was a major project just to saw off a length of wood! So - my old love of the machine shop started to arise; in the '80's had this shop.

Where the Epson 3800 Lived

This corner was my former print center where I had an Epson 3800 printer.  Now a metal lathe will move in, as the venue changes!

An amazing amount of clutter!

Was surprised to see how many trial and test prints I'd made.  Digital printing can be a very costly affair.

... But then again, so can having a machine shop!

Half-wall to keep swarf out of computer

One of the big challenges of running a shop in a living area is keeping the chips, swarf, dust and loose ends all in check. A shop vac would be one of the first tools to come in
